Peter Bushby commenced his current Real Estate Agency practice, Peter Bushby Real Estate in 1997 originally focusing on Launceston’s southern suburbs and this has expanded to cover greater Launceston. In 2011 Peter established a city based office at 10 Cameron Street at the front of the Ritchie & Parker Alfred Green & Co lawyers building. Whilst Peter still has a special focus on the Norwood (and surrounding suburbs) where his office was based for 14 years he sells properties across the greater Launceston area including the Tamar Valley and the northern midlands commuter towns. He offers a personalised service and as an integral part of his operational philosophy only handle a manageable number of properties at one time to ensure that the appropriate level of activity is directed to each property listed in his care. This business plan has proven a highly successful package with excellent sales results for more than a decade!
With the rapid advances in technology it made it possible for Peter to work initially from his office at his home and now from a dedicated city office and yet offer an effective, quality service to the public. He has several visual local property display boards at the S’Presso 101 Café at Summerhill, the Norwood Post office, Westpac – Kings Meadows and in the city in the Old Brisbane Arcade that work well as our working shop fronts.
Peter, who has enjoyed a long and successful career in real estate is prepared to put back into the industry and was State President of the Real Estate Institute of Tasmania from 2007 to 2010. In 2010 he was elected as the Tasmanian delegate to the board of the Real Estate Institute of Australia serving until his retirement from the REIA Board in December 2015. He had the honour as only the sixth Tasmanian to hold the prestigious role as the National President of the REIA serving two terms from 2012 to 2014. In 2010 he was made a Fellow of the Real Estate Institute of Australia and is one of only three Tasmanians to hold a REIA Certificate in Commercial & Industrial Practice.
In 1996 following 23 years involvement he sold his interest in the family firm known then as Bushby First National (Now the Bushby Property Group) and the knowledge gained over these years together with four years experience as a director on the national board of one of the nation’s biggest real estate groups gave him a clear understanding of what is required to deliver the right service levels to make sales – He assures you that you do not need to be big to be effective. If you are contemplating selling your home and you want personalised professional service please call him – He would appreciate the opportunity to assist you.
